A vibrant tapestry of art and music
The eighth annual Sechelt Arts Festival was a great success with over 2,200 people enjoying a showcase of music, visual and performance art.
Something for everyone
The Festival offered a diverse range of programming, providing something special for everyone. Events included musical showcases, family entertainment, a professional juried visual arts exhibit, exciting youth programming, free workshops, new music and classical concerts. An opportunity to indulge in the arts
The Sechelt Arts Festival was presented in collaboration with the highly successful Sunshine Coast Art Crawl, creating a well-rounded weekend of arts events. Visitors participated in a variety of programs. It was a unique opportunity for the public to immerse themselves in arts and culture in a rural community. With programs like ‘Art in the Streets’, the District of Sechelt was literally alive with art.

All Festival events were presented in and around the District of Sechelt during the week of October 17th to October 23rd, 2011. Indoor venues included some of the District’s most charming arts facilities including the Raven’s Cry Theatre, the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre, Seaside Centre, and The Sound Studio.
